Trump has been called the “most homophobic, sexist, racist, anti-woman, anti–women president in modern times,” and many people are calling for his impeachment.
“I’m glad you’re out of office, I hope you’re a happy person,” said Republican House Speaker John Boehner.
“You are the one who called for the impeachment of Barack Obama.”
“We don’t need another Hillary Clinton,” tweeted Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
“If we have another Clinton in the White House, then we are not going to be able to achieve our national security agenda.”
“I think he is just an unhinged, narcissistic, misogynist,” Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill said on CNN.
“He is a man who thinks the world is his oyster, who is a misogynist and a bigot.”
“It’s a shame that this country has elected a man like him, but I hope that people realize that this is just the beginning,” said Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
“As long as he is the President of the United States, we are going to have to fight for a government that works for all Americans, not just those at the top,” Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Bernie Sanders said.
“We have to take back the Democratic Party, and we have to win back the country,” Sanders said, urging his supporters to get out to vote for Clinton.
“Hillary Clinton has been the most racist, sexist and anti-LGBTQ president in the modern era,” said former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
“She wants to deport millions of people.
She wants to make the entire country a Third World country.”
“He has done far worse things than Donald Trump.
And if he is elected President of this country, I am certain that he will continue to do so,” said New York Mayor Bill de Blasio.
“This is the time to stand up to the man who wants to tear down this country,” said De Blasio.
Trump and his supporters have been accused of being “anti-Semitic,” “anti-“Christian,” “white supremacists” and “anti–American.
It’s a big lie, but it’s a lie, and they should stop lying to the American people,” said Trump supporter and MSNBC host Joe Scarborough. “
The media are making a big mistake.
It’s a big lie, but it’s a lie, and they should stop lying to the American people,” said Trump supporter and MSNBC host Joe Scarborough.
“Trump is just a serial liar.
He’s just a horrible human being.
I don’t want to be around him, I don I don ‘t want to work for him,” said Scarborough.
But Trump supporters say the media are misconstruing his comments about the women, and that he is simply expressing his feelings about them.
“What he’s saying is, ‘Oh, I’m not going into the bathroom with this person,'” said Republican National Committeewoman and former Trump staffer Kirsten Gillibrand.
“And he’s not going in the bathroom in that way.
It ‘s not a nice thing to do,” GillibrAND said.”
This is about Donald Trump’s history of misogyny,” said Jill Stein, a Green Party candidate for president and former vice presidential nominee.
“His rhetoric about women has been around for decades.
This is just his latest assault on women,” said Stein.
“When he made these comments about women he’s called them fat pigs, they’re dogs, they should be ashamed of themselves.
He says they’re disgusting, disgusting,” she said.
Clinton, who was a presidential candidate in 2016, is expected to hold a rally on Tuesday in Colorado Springs.
“It is time for Donald Trump to quit the presidential race,” said Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook.
“Donald Trump has spent years attacking women and women’s health, and now he’s targeting women who voted for him, and he’s going after the voters of Colorado.”
